From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot stated that during his approach to landing on runway 4 at Punta Gorda (pgd), he verified that he had a green light, indicating that his landing gear was down and locked. The pilot was also able to visually see that the gear was down with a side mirror mounted on the aircraft. Upon touch down on the runway, the left main gear and the nose gear collapsed. The right main gear remained in the down and locked position. After the left main and nose gear collapsed, the aircraft slid off the left side of the runway into the grass. The aircraft sustained minor skin damage.
