From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
While conducting first cross country solo, pilot flew from chd to prc. While taxing at to a parking spot at prc, pilot attempted to swing his aircraft to then pull through into a parking spot adjacent to the edge of the ramp and near a fence. While performing this, the aircrafts right wing stuck the fence. This caused the aircraft to lurch and the propeller to make contact with a pile of parking curbs that were being stored on a pallet just off the edge of the ramp.
