From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Airman was flying in area of trading bay, AK., which is about 25 miles west of kenai, AK. Airman was practicing takeoffs and landings on gravel bars on river. On about the 10th takeoff, aircraft started veering to the right. Airman ran out of rudder authority, so aborted the takeoff. During the stop, airplane ground-looped to the right and the gear collapsed. No other damage to the aircraft was noted, other than a scuff on the right wing tip paint.
