From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot was landing at a private ranch with two passengers and was unable to maintain directional control upon landing. Witness stated the rotorcraft started yawing uncontrollably and spun a few rotations before hitting the ground and destroying the aircraft. The weather was clear at the time and the pilot was new to the aircraft. On approach the pilot felt the aircraft yawing and used the max pedal he could. Torque was in limits but the aircraft continued to yaw and pilot tried to recover but the aircraft would not recover.
