From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The PIC (pilot #1) allowed his passenger (pilot #2), who does not possess complex or high performance endorsements to operate his aircraft for the purpose of acquiring experience and aircraft specific familiarity prior to scheduled training with a CFI. The PIC remained in the left seat and permitted pilot #2 to operate the aircraft from the right seat and manage all aircraft controls. Pilot #2 forgot to extend the gear and the PIC failed to notice the error. The aircraft landed gear up and sustained minor damage to the underside of the airframe and propellers.
