From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

During takeoff roll the aircraft nose became light at 55 knots. The pilot heard and felt a bang under the aircraft. The pilot noticed the nose going down but was able to takeoff at 65 knots. The tower notified the pilot that the nose gear assembly was on the runway. Pilot circled the airport for 1.5 hours to burn off fuel. He shut the engine down on final approach and landed on the main landing gear holding up the nose. The nose settled on 2 prop blades.
