From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft was approaching tjig airport from the dominican republic on IFR flight plan. The captain flying the aircraft with runway 9 insight during final approach determined that was too high and decided to retard the power levers to flight idle, causing the aircraft to sink excessively undershooting the runway and hitting the edge of an 8 feet cliff with the main landing gears, crew experienced a hard landing. Aircraft taxi out of the runway and parked at customs facility to clear flight. The crew noticed that left hand wing navigation light lens broke off, and that left inner tire was flat.

Crew called aircraft maintenance to check the discrepancies and report a hard landing, the maintenance technician notice while checking the reported discrepancies that the aircraft suffered damage on the fuselage and wings root area.

AIRCRAFT TAXI OUT OF THE RUNWAY AND PARKED AT CUSTOMS FACILITY TO CLEAR FLIGHT. THE CREW NOTICED THAT LEFT HAND WING NAVIGATION LIGHT LENS BROKE OFF, AND THAT LEFT INNER TIRE WAS FLAT.
