From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot joseph zingali attempted to take off runway 7 from Corona Municipal Airport on 1/22/2020 at 12:11PM pacific time. The airplane, N36TT, had joseph zingali and three other passengers onboard. One passenger daniel rodriguez, is a certificated pilot but was in the back seat and did not occupy a crew member station.

On takeoff the aircraft failed to lift off. It went through an airport perimeter fence hitting a drainage ditch which caused the plane to flip over and catch fire. All four occupants were killed in the accident. Witness statements and video surveillance confirmed the sequence of events.

Mr. Zingali added 78.06 gallons of fuel to the aircraft before takeoff. Witnesses stated that the airplane attempted to take off with flaps fully deployed. Video surveillance could not confirm nor deny the witnesses statement of fully deployed flaps. Upon further investigation it was determined there were two passengers in the back, one in the second row, daniel rodruguez, and another in the third row, paula rich-mitchell. Teresa rodriguez was in the right front seat next to joseph zingali.
