What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
The pilot was performing touch and go landings on a dry lake bed near Jean NV. As the pilot was rolling out after a landing he inadvertently pressed the brakes causing the aircraft to nose over ending upside down.
Damage was noted to the left wing strut which had collapsed, damage to the rudder and based on the extensive rippling of the fabric covering the lower surfaces of the wings it was apparent the wings had suffered internal and unknown structural damage.
