From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot departed (abe) airport allentown, PA. En-route to Altoona Pa. (Aoo). Pilot was on the ILS runway 21. Pilot broke out in VFR conditions and was in the flair for landing.

Pilot was in the landing attitude when a gust of wind hit the aircraft from the right side. The aircraft veered to the left causing the left wing tip tank to strike the ground.

The pilot regained control of the aircraft and initiated a go around and noticed a fuel leak in the left tip tank.

The crew then diverted to latrobe pa ( arnold palmer regional airport klbe ) due to better weather conditions and landed uneventfully.
