On visual approach to dts the aircraft engine suddenly failed approximately 1 mile from the runway causing the aircraft to crash into the trees behind a private home. Pilot and 1 passenger egressed aircraft with no injuries.

ON VISUAL APPROACH TO DTS THE AIRCRAFT ENGINE SUDDENLY FAILED APPROXIMATELY 1 MILE FROM THE RUNWAY CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO CRASH INTO THE TREES BEHIND A PRIVATE HOME. PILOT AND 1 PASSENGER EGRESSED AIRCRAFT WITH NO INJURIES.
