From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

2020-04-26 Gear collapsed on runway 11 after landing at ktkc

The PIC was out at his local airport doing pattern work with his father on board. This was his fifth landing of the day. He was raising and lowering the landing gear for the landings. This aircraft has a manual retractable gear system through the use of a johnson/j-bar in the cockpit.

The PIC recalls pushing the j-bar into the uplock block and checking the gear down indicator light. On touchdown roll they hit a hard bump in the pavement. At that point the gear collapsed, the props hit the runway and the aircraft slid approximately 300 feet down the runway providing some skin damage to belly, nose gear doors, left flap and right step. Ultimately the aircraft ,departed the left side where it was shutdown and came to rest. Sliding off the runway the left wing tip area impacted a runway edge light denting the wing.

Scar marks were consistent with the PIC narrative and showed after landing the aircraft crossed a 1-2 inch wide and 1-2 inch deep crack that had a complete perpendicular span of this runway. The aircraft has stacked hockey pucks for suspension so it is very stiff. The edges of the gear doors showed scraping consistent with a collapse. Props started striking the pavement within two body lengths of the aircraft after hitting the crack.
