From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Upon landing at the lake Hood Gravel strip, during the roll out phase the pilot discovered the right brake was totally inoperative, and the left brake was operational. The pilot attempted to quickly add power to straighten out by using right rudder input. The pilot also applied some left brake during the roll out and the aircraft veered to the left and rolled off of the Gravel runway into the swampy grass between the runway and taxiway. The pilot quickly shutdown the engine. The only damage was multiple deep nicks to the propeller blades caused by a ground strike as the aircraft tipped/rolled into the grass. The aircraft remained upright with no other damage. Anc airport police and the airport manager responded to the scene. No other issues noted.

Aircraft was towed out of grass with a pickup truck and returned to the owner's hangar. Pictures taken by owner. No other aircraft damage noted.
