From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

On 17 may 2020 as pilot in command of Cirrus 787MK serial number 1300 during IFR flight from kclt to kcrw operating under CFR part 91 with one employee aboard, the chronological occurrence of events are listed:

? During preflight inspection in kclt no anomalies discovered, added one (1) quart of engine oil bringing the oil level to 7.25 qts before flight.

? Approximately twenty (20) miles south of kcrw at 5,000' with ATC directed pilot's discretion to 3,000' when engine vibration began.

? Approximately fifteen (15) miles south of kcrw engine oil pressure rapidly decreased to an indication of zero (0) on MFD engine page.

? At the moment oil pressure indication dropped to zero with imminent engine failure I referenced the Cirrus factory emergency checklist for engine failure in-flight

? I declared an emergency to kcrw ATC, reporting two (2) souls onboard, two (2) hours of fuel aboard with an imminent engine failure & requested emergency equipment be present at landing.

? Passenger was briefed for landing.

? On short final to runway 23 I requested from ATC coordination for tug to tow aircraft off runway upon landing.

? Successfully landed runway 23 kcrw with no additional damage to aircraft nor any injuries to passenger or myself.

? After exiting aircraft and tending to passenger, interviews were completed with kcrw fire department & police.

? During post flight inspection while aircraft was secured in hangar, heavy engine oil was noted on fuselage, bottom left cowling & nose gear fairing, engine oil level indicated approximately 2.25 qts. No other anomalies noted.

? Contacted director of operations (j.d. paschal) & director of maintenance (stephen dodd) to notify of in-flight emergency & outcome.

? Had phone conversation with inspector brady of Charleston FSDO & Cirrus aircraft duluth, MN on 18 may 2020
