What happened

At approximately 1215 local the aircraft (suas) a dji matrice 210V2 was on a return to home flight path when it arrived over the parking structure of Chula Vista police department( cvpd) the aircraft incurred a mechanical malfunction to the #4 engine and could not hold altitude. The machine fell straight down from approximately 30 ft AGL onto the ground of the parking structure and was destroyed.

AT APPROXIMATELY 1215 LOCAL THE AIRCRAFT (SUAS) A DJI MATRICE 210V2 WAS ON A RETURN TO HOME FLIGHT PATH WHEN IT ARRIVED OVER THE PARKING STRUCTURE OF CHULA VISTA POLICE DEPARTMENT( CVPD) THE AIRCRAFT INCURRED A MECHANICAL MALFUNCTION TO THE #4 ENGINE AND COULD NOT HOLD ALTITUDE. THE MACHINE FELL STRAIGHT DOWN FROM APPROXIMATELY 30 FT AGL ONTO THE GROUND OF THE PARKING STRUCTURE AND WAS DESTROYED.
