From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

N741TR is a privately owned, amateur built, 2017 Pipistrel v aircraft. The experimental racing a/w certificate date is 18 October 2017 and the valid registration certification issue date is 24 September 2018.

The single pilot operator of the aircraft was maneuvering to parking near hangar buildings after completion of a flight when the left wing contacted the side of a t-hangar causing subsequent left rotation into the hangar contacting the propeller. The aircraft sustained substantial damage to the left wing at both the leading and through to the trailing edge wing tip. Due to contact from the propeller with the hangar structure, one propeller blade was severed and the other damaged with obvious sudden stoppage indication. The aircraft was removed from the side of the hangar by hand and towed into it's assigned hangar for disposition. No evidence of brake malfunction or any other type of mechanical issue was discovered as reported by the operator.

As the FAA filed it
