From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft was diverting to Montgomery airport for a routine fuel stop. As the pilot lowered the landing gear, his gear position indicator light did not illuminate. He was not able to verify the main landing gear was down and locked. A fly-by of the Montgomery tower revealed his nose landing gear was extended. He continued on in the pattern and briefly troubleshot the system. After an unsuccessful attempt, the pilot elected to land. As the aircraft touched down and all three gear made contact, the nose landing gear collapsed. No injuries reported.
