From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On a flight from ack to oxc, with 4 people on board, the pilot attempted to lower the landing gear but did not get the indicator light to show that the gear was down and locked. The left main gear would not lower which was verified visually with a flashlight. Many unsuccessful attempts were made to lower the left gear by recycling the landing gear, and utilizing the emergency gear pump. The pilot diverted to bdl, declared an emergency, raised the landing gear, and accomplished a gear up landing on runway 24. There where no injuries. The aircraft sustained damage to the belly of the fuselage and the propeller struck the runway.

The last annual inspection was accomplished on March 17, 2020. Both normal & emergency landing gear retraction tests were accomplished at that time. The aircraft had flown 16 hours with multiple gear retractions since the last inspection.
