From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On 7/23/2020 at approximately 2:30 pm local time privacy data omitted was conducting a landing on runway 32 at the Ocean City Municipal Airport. Shortly after landing during the rollout the nose gear unexpectedly collapsed. The aircraft skidded about 2,000 feet before coming to a stop. All occupants evacuated without incident. The investigation revealed that a 5/16 bolt that connects the nose gear drag brace to the down locking mechanism sheared in two causing the nose gear to collapse. The bolt which is riding on bushings showed wear and cutting marks all the way around the bolt. The bolt has been sent to the NTSB lab for examination.
