From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

On 7/24/2020 privacy data omitted was returning from a solo cross country to cha at about 1820 local landing on runway 20. Kyle noted the winds 180-190 at 7 KTS. privacy data omitted States he thinks he touched slightly right wheel/downwind wheel first then the remainder of the tires. The upwind wheel should touchdown first for proper crosswind technique. Upon touchdown he was slightly right of centerline and traveling towards the right, so he corrected the path of the a/c. the a/c then went hard left and he knew he was going to the grass. Continued with braking but went through the grass prior to taxiway "delta" over taxiway "delta" striking a taxiway light and then back into the grass on the other side of taxiway "delta". He then shut down the plane and got out calling ground on a hand-held radio he had. Ground said operations were en route. Assessing the damage, it appeared the left fairing was the only damage. They used the tow-bar to push the plane back on to the taxiway. The plane taxied under its own power back to crystal air.
