From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

N62130 departed rwy 27 at Jefferson County International Airport and stayed in the traffic patter for touch and go landing practice. During the landing, after the pilot flared and landed for a three point landing, the pilot decided to raise the tail and pretend a wheel landing. The aircraft started to veer to the right, the pilot corrected with left rudder and left aileron and decided to take off by adding full power. The aircraft lifted momentarily but continued to turn to the left. The pilot dicided to cut the power. Plane came to rest upright on a 45 degree lean to the left with the left wing bent at the wingroot and the right wing pointed in the air, at about 150 yards south of the centerline of the runway. Left landing gear was collapsed. Wooden propeller was shattered. Small dents and abrasions to both wings. The pilot was able to turn magnetos and fuel off, and was able to get out the aircraft unhurt.
