From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

While completing a 3 point landing on runway 01 at Talkeetna, after a slight bounce the pilot/pic privacy data omitted failed to maintain directional control and touched down with the aircraft slightly yawed. The acting CFI privacy data omitted was unable to correct the yawing condition before the aircraft quickly rotated/"groundlooped" to the right, causing the aircraft to tilt and damage the left wing and left horizontal stabilizer/elevator. The winds were calm and the aircraft was confirmed to be fully functional, therefore no aircraft or weather factors were deemed contributory/causal. No injuries.

As the FAA filed it

WHILE COMPLETING A 3 POINT LANDING ON RUNWAY 01 AT TALKEETNA, AFTER A SLIGHT BOUNCE THE PILOT/PIC ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ FAILED TO MAINTAIN DIRECTIONAL CONTROL AND TOUCHED DOWN WITH THE AIRCRAFT SLIGHTLY YAWED. THE ACTING CFI ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS UNABLE TO CORRECT THE YAWING CONDITION BEFORE THE AIRCRAFT QUICKLY ROTATED/"GROUNDLOOPED" TO THE RIGHT, CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO TILT AND DAMAGE THE LEFT WING AND LEFT HORIZONTAL STABILIZER/ELEVATOR. THE WINDS WERE CALM AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS CONFIRMED TO BE FULLY FUNCTIONAL, THEREFORE NO AIRCRAFT OR WEATHER FACTORS WERE DEEMED CONTRIBUTORY/CAUSAL. NO INJURIES.
