What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Pilot stated he was taxiing in an unfamiliar ramp area of the airport to conduct an engine run up. During the taxi, the pilot became distracted and looked at his flight plan on his ipad. The aircraft then struck an asphalt curb. The impact of the curb broke the nose fork and caused a nose over, resulting in a prop strike, thus stopping the engine. This resulted in damage to the nose gear and propeller. The pilot received a minor injury (small cut to the finger). No other injuries reported.
