From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot of N955SP took off from flabob airport on 09/01/2020 shortly before 0700. He was enroute to Riverside Airport about 3-4 NM away.

Once he landed at Riverside he heard a loud noise come from the area of the propeller and then it went away. He decided to park in the transient area to look a the plane in order to figure out what he heard.

The pilot realized he forgot to remove the tow bar from the aircraft after he completed his preflight at the flabob airport.

Airport personnel at the Riverside Airport found the tow bar in the infield between runway 27 and taxiway b, which parallels runway 27.

A bend in the propeller was found at the tip of one of the prop blades and several red marks found on the body of the aircraft toward the front.

No other damage found.
