From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The airman stated that at the beginning of the takeoff roll he noticed that his rpm's were 3000 which was within the manufactures limits of 3200 +- 200. About half way point the airman didn't feel his aircraft was performing adequately and decided to abort the takeoff. He said he was 5-10 feet in the air and chopped the power. This aircraft sank and pitched forward. The airman increased to full power and could not arrest the descent and the propeller struck the ground and the aircraft came to rest. The airman was not hurt and proceeded to get out of the aircraft and move it into the grass area between the runway and the taxiway. He was instructed by the control tower to leave the aircraft there until the FAA was notified.
