From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

The aircraft came to a stop approximately 100 yards from the beginning of runway 2. Based on the debris field and tracks in the grass the aircraft continued approximately 200

An engine examination/teardown was performed on October 21, 2020. It was discovered that the internal engine components as well all peripheral accessories were operating normally at the time of the crash. The examination/teardown revealed no presence of fuel in or to the engine carburetor and the engine driven/mechanical fuel pump. The internal components of these accessories were intact and in working condition. All four engine valve compression was established. All associated engine magnetos and spark plugs were tested and found to be functioning properly. The engine starter functioned as required.

Also noted is that no fuel was present in the fuel header or main tanks of the aircraft.

After consulting with an operations inspector, it is recommended that the pilot perform a 44709 re-examination.
