From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

PIC departed plu and was attempting to land at 0S9 on runway 27. PIC entered the pattern on a left 45 to left downwind. PIC was trying to maintain 80 mph on final. Prior to touchdown on runway 27 the PIC noted the airspeed had increased to just under 90 mph to which he decreased power. With the aircraft "over the numbers" on runway 27, the aircraft experienced a sudden drop in altitude and impacted the runway hard, collapsing the left and right main landing gears. The aircraft also sustained prop strike damage, cockpit floor board damage and minor skin damage on the upper left and right wings just above the landing gears. The aircraft skid to the left of runway 27 and came to rest in the grass area.
