From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot was receiving tail wheel instruction. Departed Fairbanks and flew to Metro Field. During the landing the pilot lined up on the runway and touched down. During the landing roll the pilot experienced a series of small bounces followed by the right side of aircraft dipping. The pilot thought it felt like a crosswind and input yoke and rudder corrections. These corrections were ineffective and the right wing continued to dip and ultimately hit the ground redirecting the aircraft off the runway into some brush. During post flight examination of the aircraft the right main tire was discovered to be flat.
