From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On 11/1/2020 at 1354 CST, a Beech king air model 300, s/n FA-163, N402RX, was making a landing on runway 35L at David Wayne Hooks memorial airport (kdwh), when the aircraft ran off of the left side of the runway. The aircraft was being operated as a 14 CFR part 91 IFR flight, which originated at telluride regional airport (ktex) with the final destination of kdwh. The aircraft received damage to both engine propeller assemblies.

The pilot stated that he was cleared to the visual approach and landing on runway 35L. He crossed the numbers at idle power, touched down at about 88 knots, raised full flaps, and gently applied braking. As he pulled the power levers into beta the aircraft began a strong left yaw. He applied brakes and additional beta, which caused the aircraft to veer off sharply to the left of the runway. He was unable to maintain directional control despite the braking action. He advanced the power levers out of beta, but it was too late to recover the loss of directional control. The aircraft crossed a shallow ditch about 2500 feet down the runway and came to a stop. Both propellers made contact with the ground as the aircraft rolled through the ditch. There was no other apparent damage to the aircraft. After the pilot exited the aircraft, he noticed that the left propeller did feather, while the right propeller did not go into the feathered position, which explained the hard left asymmetrical force.

The aircraft records indicate that the last aircraft inspection was the phase 4 inspection, completed at airframe total time: 6559.9 on March 14, 2020, in accordance with the Beechcraft king air 300 maintenance manual. At the time of the accident, the aircraft had accumulated approximately 100 hours since the phase 4 inspection. Both propeller assemblies were removed in serviceable condition from another model 300, and installed on N402RX during the most recent phase 4 inspection. Both propeller assemblies TSO: 846.8 at the time of incident.

As the FAA filed it

WHEN ANY OTHER ADDITIONAL INFORMATION BECOMES AVAILABLE, THIS REPORT WILL BE AMENDED AS NECESSARY.
