From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On dec 13, 2020, C170A, landing runway 24 at Trenton-Mercer airport (ttn), ground looped, causing damage to landing gear, wing strut, and left door. At the time of landing, there was a crosswind from 290 at 9KTS, gusting to 19KTS.

Pilot stated the approach to runway 24 at ttn was stabilized and normal, with clear VFR conditions and a dry runway. During rollout, all three occupants felt a rumbling, then the aircraft began to veer left. At that moment, the instructor called ?my airplane? And took the controls, applying right rudder to compensate. The aircraft spun clockwise and bounced on the main gear several times before coming to a stop. There was no wing contact with the runway and no prop strike reported. Upon exiting the aircraft, the pilot observed the left main gear tire was blown and the wheel assembly was damaged.

As the FAA filed it
