From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot did not perform a visual inspection of the landing gear in the down position nor did she visually verify that the green gear lights were indicating down and locked. The pilot landed the aircraft with the landing gear retracted. There was no structural damage to the amphibious floats and no injuries. The aircraft was taken to maintenance for a gear inspection. Maintenance was not able to duplicate the problem. The gear handle was noticed by maintenance personnel in the down position as required. The landing gear malfunction could not be explained.
