From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On January 26, 2021, at approximately 1200CST, N6276G was departing bridgeport municipal airport (xbp) on runway 36L, for northwest regional airport (52F). During the initial takeoff rollout, at approximately 40 knots, the pilot made a left rudder input to correct for a cross wind and the left rudder pedal went all the way down and the aircraft did not respond to the desired input. This resulted in the aircraft exiting the runway to its right. Due to soft soil, due to recent rain, the wheels partially sank into the ground causing damage to the left main landing gear wheel pants. No impact nor further damage was noted.

The only occupant of the aircraft at the time of the incident was the pilot in command and he was uninjured.

The aircraft had flown from 52F to xbp earlier in the day without incident.

Inspection of the aircraft rudder system revealed that due to unknown reasons, the hardware securing the left rudder cable to the left rudder pedal was no longer present, causing the cable to detach from the pedal.

Records indicate that the last condition inspection performed on the aircraft took place on 05/13/2020 tach/total aircraft time 438.7.

As the FAA filed it
