What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
On January 26, 2021, N426KX was traveling from ennis municipal airport (F41) to Mesquite Metro Airport (hqz). Clear VFR conditions prevailed at the time of the incident.
N426KX landed at Mesquite Metro Airport (hqz) on runway 36. During the landing roll, at approximately 30 knots, the aircraft nose landing gear retracted and both main landing gear partially retacted. The aircraft suffered a prop strike to the runway and came to rest on its nose and both of its outboard main landing gear doors.
During the onsite inspection of the aircraft, it was noted that the bottom portion of both outboard main landing gear doors, the skins of both nose landing gear doors and surrounding areas , and the left wing tip tank, had runway scrapping. All three propeller blades also had runway scrapping and the tips were bent to an aft facing angle.
Mechanical examination of the aircraft, by privacy data omitted, revealed that the internal gear box clearance was at zero, which the maintenance manual states that it should have 1/8 to 1/4 turn at the emergency gear handle, allowing a "cushion" that prevents damage to the sector gear. Also, the landing gear up limit switch was found to be damaged, causing internal components to be exposed contributing to the uncommanded landing gear retraction.
The landing gear safety switches were checked for operation and found to be operating normally, which would not allow the landing gear to retract if a retaction command is inputted while on the ground.
Aircraft records inspection indicated that the last annual inspection was performed on January 7, 2021 (tach time 4763.38) privacy data omitted

N426KX LANDED AT MESQUITE METRO AIRPORT (HQZ) ON RUNWAY 36. DURING THE LANDING ROLL, AT APPROXIMATELY 30 KNOTS, THE AIRCRAFT NOSE LANDING GEAR RETRACTED AND BOTH MAIN LANDING GEAR PARTIALLY RETACTED.
