From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

This was the 7th landing of the flight as we were performing my bfr and some instrument approaches at some local airports with my CFII. Winds were light from approximately the ssw and the sky was clear with temperatures in the mid 80?s. we were landing on rwy 18. This was the third landing at tlh on rwy 18. The pattern was normal, approach stabilized at normal indicated airspeeds. Pre-landing checklist was complete and my CFII and myself checked for wheels down indications. We touched down near the first set of runway touchdown stripes just beyond the 1000 foot markers with the mains and then the nose touched down on the runway and collapsed. The aircraft came to rest near taxiway A3. We never felt like the front wheel touched/caught the runway at touchdown.
