From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Throughout the day, the student pilot was practicing their ability to correlate the aircraft attitude required for a full stall landing and had successfully displayed this throughout seven landings. At 2311 hrs, the student pilot began their eighth approach in to the Idaho Falls airport (ida) runway 21. The student's performance was closely monitored by the CFI; however, during the last few seconds of flight the student raised the nose of the aircraft to an attitude where the wings reached the critical angle of attack. A complete wing stall occurred and the tail struck the runway before the main tires causing minor damage to include paint scuffing on the tail skid.

As the FAA filed it
