From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On April 9, 2021, at 1153 eastern daylight time, a Piper lance, PA32R-300, N1664H, privacy data omitted, operated by a commercial pilot, ran off of the end of the runway, collided with a street sign, traveled 187 feet across a two-lane road, and went into a ditch during an aborted takeoff at Berry Hill Airport (private) (7GA7) in Stockbridge, Georgia with three persons on board. The personal flight was operated under the provisions of 14 code of federal regulations (CFR) part 91. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed. The pilot in the right seat received minor injuries, and the airplane was destroyed in a post-crash fire as a result of the right fuel tank being breached when the right-wing collided with the street sign. The flight was originating at the time of the accident and returning to dekalb-peachtree airport (pdk). It was initially reported that there were no injuries; however, the pilot in the right seat reported a minor injury to his head the next day.
