From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot was on approach to land at Kona international airport when they lowered the gear. Pilot did not get three green lights. Pilot cycled the gear in an attempt to correct the problem and right main landing gear still did not indicate down. Pilot then requested to fly by the tower for visual confirmation of the gear. Tower relayed the gear appeared down. Pilot circled and attempted to land. Upon touchdown, the right main landing gear collapsed and the aircraft veered to the right and onto a service road leading to the runway.
