From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Approx 40 min. After departing from fuel stop in lancaster, CA. (Kwjf) enroute to AZ, the aircraft had a #2 afcs fault light, and began experiencing a "tail low" flight attitude, that required fwd cyclic input to maintain level flight. Pilots switched to #1 afcs, and no abnormalities noted by aft cabin crew members. Pilots then noted that the aft lct actuator had fully retracted (indication in cockpit). Aircraft began experiencing longitudinal axis problems, pitching fore and aft. Pilots switched off the afcs system and made as soon as practical, run on landing, on a dirt road, in remote access area, without incident.
