From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The student pilot initiated a landing on 8L at kpub. The pilot began the flare too early. During the flare, the main landing gear came down on the runway first followed by the nose gear. The nose wheel began to shake and veer to the right. In an attempt to recover, student applied full throttle for a go around. Immediately, the go around maneuver was aborted. The pilot began to correct for the veering to the right and over corrected left. Aircraft veered off the runway to the left.
