From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The rotorcraft rated pilot, with student pilot privileges for airplane single engine land, was on a solo flight for training purposes. During touchdown the pilot reported that a gust of wind lifted the right wing of the aircraft, causing the aircraft to veer to the left. Pilot tried to correct with rudder and was unable to straighten the aircraft. The pilot then applied the brakes in an attempt to stop prior to the edge of the runway. The aircraft did not stop and went into the grass. The aircraft returned to the runway and taxied to the ramp. There was no damage to the aircraft or injury to the pilot.
