From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

At approximately 1450 the aircraft departed for will rogers airport (kokc) for a series of training maneuvers at/near e. Page municipal airport (krce). Arrived at Page airport at 1500. After several training maneuvers the aircraft landed on runway 35L. At 1532 local time the aircraft departed runway 35L and according to the pilot, at about 25 feet AGL the aircraft started to yaw to the left. The instructor took control of the aircraft at that time. The control loads became excessive and the hydr light on the caution was illuminated. The pilot was unable to recover the aircraft from the left spin and the aircraft struck the ground approximately 150-200 yards west of runway 25L. The crew exited the aircraft and noticed the aircraft had caught fire. The aircraft was destroyed in the post crash fire.
