What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Aircraft tail wheel/ski detached inflight. Aircraft sustained minor damage to tail and rudder on landing. NTSB - an NTSB aeronautical engineer has reviewed the information and pictures concerning this event, and has determined the damage is considered minor. Since the operator has never encountered this type of issue before with the casing, it is likely an isolated event. The NTSB will not investigate and no report is required.
