From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The airman sent this narrative: . "I was in a flight of 5 huskys, I was #2. The conditions were good, but for a ?variable? Wind. However, the wind was only about 3-5 KTS. As I was on final approach, a plane on the ground waiting to take off said over the radio ?I will take a video of your landing? Which upset my concentration. I got back into the landing groove and on roundout I could feel the wind pushing me a bit, but not any more than I have felt before during training. I added a little throttle to extend the roundout. I pulled the stick back and landed high. Upon a hard landing, my hand pushed the throttle by accident ? Pushing the plane farther left in an instant and at that point the ground loop was unrecoverable.?
