From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Acft took off from falcon field, atlanta enroute to avl (home airport). Tower contacted individual prior to landing to expedite runway time due to a commercial jet taking off. Pilot stated he said he could make taxiway A4, he landed short to minimize time on runway. Tower again contacted individual to see if they could make taxiway exit A4, pilot affirmed action. Pilot also stated seemed as if there was an issue with aircraft, could have been braking or nose wheel, also indicated speed was lowered to sufficiently make the turn off. Due to not sufficiently braking, pilot made a wider turn and missed taxiway, ran off edge with nosewheel and left main. When he applied power to continue with the turn and return to taxiway (asphalt), this is when the nose gear collapsed and the prop struck the ground. Aircraft ended on active taxiway at hold short line. Aircraft towed and currently in maintenance at privacy data omitted. 8/20/21 - called privacy data omitted maintenance facility in avl to get extent of damage to determine substantial or not. Photos of the aircraft were emailed. Aircraft had no structural damage - engine and prop removed for repair, replacement and/or overhaul.

As the FAA filed it

AIRCRAFT TOWED AND CURRENTLY IN MAINTENANCE AT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^. 8/20/21 - CALLED ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ MAINTENANCE FACILITY IN AVL TO GET EXTENT OF DAMAGE TO DETERMINE SUBSTANTIAL OR NOT. PHOTOS OF THE AIRCRAFT WERE EMAILED. AIRCRAFT HAD NO STRUCTURAL DAMAGE - ENGINE AND PROP REMOVED FOR REPAIR, REPLACEMENT AND/OR OVERHAUL.
