From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On August 14, 2021, at 1230 MDT, N9202T, a Cessna 180 skywagon, single engine reciprocating aircraft, privacy data omitted, was originating from Deming municipal airport (dmn) on a VFR flight when it sustained minor damage after a runway excursion. No flight plan was filed.

Shortly into the runway 8 departure roll, N9202T veered to the left, departed the runway and hit the precision approach path indicator (PAPI) before coming to a stop. There was significant damage to the PAPI and minor damage to the aircraft. The private pilot and his passenger were not injured.

The pilot was in a hurry to get out of dmn. There was no evidence of preflight planning. The left turning tendencies of a single engine aircraft at low speed, the wet runway and ineffective right brake exacerbated the situation to the point directional control was lost.
