What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
The pilot had just completed aerial recon of a new aerial application zone in steep, heavily wooded terrain and was climbing out of a small valley to meet the loader/fuel truck parked to the south of the spray zone. Between the loader truck and the spray zone was a set of power transmission lines spanning the valley in a roughly west to east direction. The pilot attempted to fly the aircraft over the power transmissin lines mid-span striking and severing the north power line. The pilot attempted to pull back and to the right to turn away from the power lines but no longer had no control of the aircraft. As a result the aircraft impacted the ground.
