From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

On 09/11/2021, inspectors from the rap FSDO investigated and found an aircraft with the right main landing gear completely separated from the aircraft fuselage, and substantially damaged. Further investigation of the gear box area revealed a broken main landing gear leg bolt in the gearbox assembly on the aircraft. Further investigation of this assembly showed that the bolt had been loose for an extended period the bolt holes were oversized by landing gear leg action as was the bolt hole on the landing gear leg itself(egged out). Further search of the runway with a metal detector discovered the bottom severed half to one third of this bolt. All parts were photographed as found and retrieved from the gear box area and sent to the NTSB iic. This accident was not pilot induced.
