What happened

Upon landing at mgw approx. 1030 EST. 9/18/2021. PIC was instructed to park aircraft west of the main ramp where 2 Cirrus aircraft were parked. In order to avoid contact with previously parked aircraft, PIC attempted to park near border fence and struck a fence pole cracking lens of tip light and minor damage to tip tank- no fuel leak was observed. Damage to fence pole was paint transfer only .

UPON LANDING AT MGW APPROX. 1030 EST. 9/18/2021. PIC WAS INSTRUCTED TO PARK AIRCRAFT WEST OF THE MAIN RAMP WHERE 2 CIRRUS AIRCRAFT WERE PARKED. IN ORDER TO AVOID CONTACT WITH PREVIOUSLY PARKED AIRCRAFT, PIC ATTEMPTED TO PARK NEAR BORDER FENCE AND STRUCK A FENCE POLE CRACKING LENS OF TIP LIGHT AND MINOR DAMAGE TO TIP TANK- NO FUEL LEAK WAS OBSERVED. DAMAGE TO FENCE POLE WAS PAINT TRANSFER ONLY .
