What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
On October 13, 2021 at approximately 1007 local time, a Cessna 421C, registration N3920C landed without incident at richard l. jones, jr. airport (krvs) Tulsa, OK on runway 19R. While taxiing the aircraft near the intersection of taxiways cc and a, the pilot attempted to slow the aircraft down by applying both left and right brakes in preparation for a left turn to the designated parking location on the ramp. While applying both brakes, the pilot stated the left side brake gave out and the brake pedal went all the way to the floor. So instead of slowing down uniformly straight ahead, the aircraft veered off slightly to the right with the nose of the aircraft coming to rest just off the edge of the taxiway causing minor damage to the nose landing gear. Subsequent inspection of the aircraft braking systems revealed there was a small amount of air in the left brake system hydraulic line which caused the left brake pedal to bottom out. The residual air was bled out of the left brake system, operational checked ok and the aircraft returned to service after repair of the nose landing gear minor damage.
As the FAA filed it
ON OCTOBER 13, 2021 AT APPROXIMATELY 1007 LOCAL TIME, A CESSNA 421C, REGISTRATION N3920C LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT AT RICHARD L.
