The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
On 10/16/2021 at approximately 19:20 aircraft N873UP, a kingair B300, was repositioning aircraft from ksua to ksav for a departure the next morning. The pilot states that as they approached the signature ramp from the north he saw the line personnel from a distance away signaling where they wanted the crew using two illuminated wands. The pilot states that they were being taxied south on bravo and entered the signature ramp and the signature line man was standing north of a parking stall between two parked aircraft and he was facing south. He was indicating for the aircraft to enter between two rows of aircraft or "alley" and then to turn north for a final parking position. The pilot states that upon entering the alley he and the SIC discussed the spacing and stopped approximately 15 feet short of a Cessna twin engine aircraft parked to the right and a lear jet parked to the left. As the crew were discussing the situation the line man continued marshaling for the aircraft to move forward. After a short period the pilot states that the line man entered the alley and marshaled the aircraft forward. The pilot states that the line man was approximately 75 feet in front of them. They continued their taxi very slowly. The pilot states that another line man came from the north across the ramp and went to the right side of the aircraft and was approximately 75 feet in front of the aircraft and was giving a thumbs up above his Head. The pilot states it was after sunset and therefore it was dark on the ramp and made it more difficult to judge the distance between the two aircraft so the pilot was relying more on the line man marshaling the aircraft. The pilot states that they moved the aircraft forward slowly and during that time he felt three little bumps and he immediately stopped the aircraft. Due to the very slow speed of the aircraft the pilot states that he was able to stop the aircraft in a short distance and did not move any further. The line man in front kept marshaling the aircraft to move forward but the pilot states he did not move the aircraft. The line man walked up to the left wing tip pointed at it with one of the lighted wands and then tried tomarshall the aircraft to move backwards. The PIC states that he set the parking brake and shut down the aircraft and completed the shut down checklist. The pilot and SIC departed the aircraft and did a quick inspection of the left wing and confirmed that the left winglet did make contact with the left aft strake of the lear jet. The pilot states that they notified their operations and maintenance and were directed to notify ksav airport authority, privacy data omitted management, Savannah airport police and the atlanta FSDO. Once all were notified the aircraft were separated and pictures before and after separation were taken and the aircraft parked by the direction of the FAA. Both aircraft sustained minor damage.
As the FAA filed it
ON 10/16/2021 AT APPROXIMATELY 19:20 AIRCRAFT N873UP, A KINGAIR B300, WAS REPOSITIONING AIRCRAFT FROM KSUA TO KSAV FOR A DEPARTURE THE NEXT MORNING. THE PILOT STATES THAT THEY NOTIFIED THEIR OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE AND WERE DIRECTED TO NOTIFY KSAV AIRPORT AUTHORITY, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ MANAGEMENT, SAVANNAH AIRPORT POLICE AND THE ATLANTA FSDO. ONCE ALL WERE NOTIFIED THE AIRCRAFT WERE SEPARATED AND PICTURES BEFORE AND AFTER SEPARATION WERE TAKEN AND THE AIRCRAFT PARKED BY THE DIRECTION OF THE FAA. BOTH AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE.
